Shaped like a butterfly, Guadeloupe is actually two large islands connected by a bridge over the Rivière Salée.

The eastern side, Grande Terre, includes soft rolling terrain, sensational white sand beaches, resort areas and Guadeloupe's largest city, Pointe-a-Pitre.

Basse-Terre, the western island, offers a dramatic rain forest, towering waterfalls, magnificent beaches, a dormant volcano and Guadeloupe's capitol city, also called Basse-Terre.

Although it is a French island, Guadeloupe’s people, personality and culture are the result of a harmonious blending of European, African and East Indian origins. A French sense of style and
joie de vivre permeate the culture. The locals seem delightfully colorblind when it comes to people of all races. In Guadeloupe, what counts most is the quality of your heart, not the color of your skin.

The excellent highway system makes it easy to navigate Guadeloupe by car and hiking trails network the lush rain forest. With its offshore dependencies of Marie-Galnte, Les Saintes and La Désirade, this incredible and unique destination offers all of the beauty and wonder of the true Caribbean.

We're looking forward to sharing sensational Guadeloupe with you!
